Let’s be honest – and I know this through my Facebook newsfeed (as I’m sure you do too) – people are always complaining about SOMETHING. Whether it’s the state of our country’s affairs (no comment), the weather, or worse, those people who bitch and complain about their friends posting too many cat pictures (side note – shut up because my Rigby is the most entertaining thing ever) – things seem to be more negative ever. But before you pop that Prozac, read this, because I have a way better cure for your blues, and it’s Terra Mare‘s Happy Hour.
You may recall my previous post about Terra Mare, but if you don’t, then I don’t know what you are spending your time reading, but it should be this. I was overly impressed with every single last item on the menu, plus the gorgeous view, so I was stupid excited about checking out their new Happy Hour, which is available seven days a week from 4pm-7pm and features delicious bites under $10, select $5 beers and select $7 wine. Count me the eff in.
If you visit South Florida without eating an empanada, did you REALLY visit South Florida? No. The Ropa Vieja Empanadas are truly the heart of the culture here, and only $5 during Happy Hour!! For those of you keeping track, that’s 10x more delicious and roughly $2.38 cheaper than a Big Mac meal at McDonald’s. Facts.
Usually, to get really good ceviche, especially at an upscale restaurant, you need to pay for it by offering your first born child. But guess what? Terra Mare’s Happy Hour, EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE WEEK, offers their scrumptious Snapper Ceviche for only $8 dollars!! I’ll pause while you catch your breath.
The grand finale during my visit was one of my SERIOUSLY FAVORITE dishes in South Florida – Terra Mare’s Blistered Shishito Peppers. Topped with lemon saffron crème fraîche. Bro. Legit.
Along with all the Happy Hour goodness, I have a special shoutout for my winos out there: Tuesdays feature HALF OFF bottles of wine. That means you can drink at least twice the amount of bottles you normally would. Win!
